Who are we?

Synergy Behavior Consultants is a privately owned agency that provides early intervention to children suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or other developmental delays using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the applied use of behavioral principles, such as reinforcement and extinction, to increase desired behaviors and decrease maladaptive behaviors. ABA is based on the science of learning and motivation and includes a variety of techniques that focus on antecedents (events that occur before a behavior) and consequences (events that occurs after the behavior).

Goals of Treatment

The goals of treatment include increased functional communication skills, imitation skills, play skills, social interaction skills, and adaptive skills across all of the child's natural settings (home, daycare, out in the community, etc.) It is also our goal to provide families with training and education on the core deficits and associated features of Autism and how best to utilize the strategies used in treatment outside of the treatment setting.
